Critical thinking journal entry #3: William Penn said, "Justice is the insurance which we have on our lives and property. Obedience is the premium which we pay for it." Write about 250-300 words for your critical thinking journal in which you, (1) in just a few sentences paraphrased from your source, describe who he is, (2) explain what the quote means, and (3) give a specific and concrete example of this truth from your own experience or your own observation. (2 points)

William Penn was born October 14, 1644: He was a Quaker and entrepreneur philosopher. In 1681 King Charles II Gave Penn a large piece of land, because of a previous debt the king owed to the family. This land today is known as Pennsylvania. Penn was an advocate of religious freedom and he wanted colonial unification. Penn developed a frame of government for Pennsylvania and this helped influence the United States Constitution. Due to his beliefs in religion Penn ended up in prison numerous times. He often wrote works to get people believe in the higher spirits. His believed in Christianity. This quote relates to William Penn, because he had faith in the higher power. As long as he believed the lord would protect him, so he stayed obedient. Basically this quote say that we will have justice and property but we have to pay for it. If we have faith in what we believe everything will be ok. An example of this in my life is me following the rules at work ,so I can get a pay check. Which means I can pay f0r nice things.
