Children between 13-18 use more than six types of media simultaneously. In this article it does not give specific examples of how children between 13-18 multitask. The brain cannot be in to places at once, therefore it takes longer to multitask rather than do a task one after another. When we multitask the brain has to make a decision of what to do and when. The prefrontal cortex has to make a decision, because of this there is a delay. People who multitask alot tend to do worse than those who focus on one thing at a time. Texting while driving slows your reaction time down by a whole second. The marshmallow tested showed that the preschoolers that had more self control would do better in their future's. The same went for the test-takers who responded to text messages. People are multitaskers, because there is a lot more going on in our society these days. Sometimes our schedules get so mixed up we just have to work on things simultaneously.

Me being a manger at Hardees  I have to multi task all the time. It is required for me to keep a headset on throughout my shift, so I constantly hear a beep in my ear everytime someone pulls up in drive-thru. After that I have to listen to every customer order. While dealing with that , I hear my name called by employees all day. When im at work I feel like a parent with a bunch of  kids. They are always calling me and I have to supervise them also. While doing this sometimes I get customer complaints, and phone calls . Sometimes it can be very overwhelming. The main thing when it comes to mulitasking Hardees is having to take the order , ring it up, take their money, and make sure they get everything in their order. Thing about this when there are ten people in the line in front of me.
